Trash Polka tattoos were created by Simone Plaff and Volko Merschky. They did this in Germany and say that their tattoos are a mix of realism and trash. Basically, two opposites. They are also decribed as the combination of nature and the abstract or technology and humanity. The tattoos brings the past, present and future together. The style works best when it is on a big area such as the back or the chest.

The Founders of Trash Polka
Not a lot of people are familiar with this new tattoo style. It appeared due to the collaboration of two German artists Volko Merschky and Simone Pfaff. They met each other several decades ago and have been working together since then developing the most modern tattoo style in the world. In 1998 they’ve opened their own tattoo shop called “Buena Vista Tattoo Club” where they have created numerous of unique artworks.
