Using a French press to make coffee is pretty easy. First, rinse out the pot with hot water to warm it up. This will help your coffee stay hot for longer. Next, grind your coffee and put the grounds into the bottom of the pot.

Boil enough water to fill the pot most of the way to the top. Once the water has boiled, let it sit for about 30 seconds so that it can cool down to around 205 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pour the water over the grounds and let it sit there for about another 30 seconds. Next, stir the coffee gently with a plastic or wooden spoon. It is best to avoid using metal so that you do not chip or break the pot.

Put the plunger on top of the pot to hold the heat in. Let the coffee steep for about 4 minutes. The longer that it steeps, the stronger the coffee will be. However, letting it steep too long makes it bitter.

When it is done steeping, push down on the plunger until it reaches the bottom of the pot. This pushes the coffee grounds to the bottom. You can then pour yourself a cup of delicious coffee!!
