Most people are aware that cats have a phobia of water. They also dislike most dogs. However, their fear of cucumbers was relatively unknown until a series of videos started to circulate online.

In the videos, a cucumber is quietly placed behind a cat while they are not looking. When the cats spot the cucumbers, they become visibly disturbed, with some even jumping into the air. But why are cucumbers scary?

Experts believe that the reactions are due to the fact that the cats are not expecting to see anything behind them. Cats typically don't like new things, because they are worried that they could hurt them. Therefore, it's not really the cucumber that is scaring the cat; any object, even something that looks nothing like a cucumber, would likely have the same effect if it was placed secretly behind the cat.
