Are secret societies real?

From the Knights of the Round Table to secret societies in schools and the government, the answer remains a question to many. However, here are some clues, Freemasons have many secret requirements before a person can become a bonafide member. These secrets quickly qualify the group as a "secret society". There are also other secret societies that aren't often talked about. Here are a few more: Rosicrucian order , Order of the Temples of the East, The Knights Templar, and more.

There are also groups that are kept secret in foreign countries where such things as freedom  of religion and freedom of speech are frowned upon.
