Is the Yorkshire Ripper about to be released?

No. According to a ruling by the High Court Peter Sutcliffe -- called the Yorkshire Ripper for his brutal murder of 13 women in the 60s to 80s -- will never be released.


He has been seen outside jail for medical appointments and has limited privileges within prison, but despite an appeal in 2010 he will remain behind bars for the rest of his natural life. On 9 March 2011, the Court of Appeal even rejected Sutcliffe's application for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court.
