Six particular colors make good choices for green eyes.

Taupe shadow is a common recommendation of makeup artists who love the warm undertones. Slate gray liner is also a soft choice that doesn't overpower a total look.

For something straight out of the color wheel, choose any shade of purple. Likewise a little brown can match green well, offering the same smoldering feel black offers but without flattening the look.

Smoky silver shadow is always a solid choice, as is metallic sage shadow.

Looking at makeup photos of celebrities with green eyes (like Kristen Stewart) is always a good source of ideas too.\

I have green eyes as well, and there are a few colors that really complement them.

1. Purple

When you look at a color wheel, you will notice that purple is across from green. That makes it a great choice for eye shadow! If your eyes are a bit close together, you can create the illusion of distance by applying a dark plum near the outside of the eye and lighter purple as you move in.

Stay away from blues; that includes purple shadows that have a hint of blue in them.

2. Gold and Copper

If you are looking for something a little less dramatic than a deep purple, consider applying gold or copper to your eyelids. Finish your look with a brown or gray eyeliner.

Stay away from silver colors and black eyeliner for best results.

3. Brown

If you are looking for a simple daytime look, go with a brown shadow. Because you have green eyes, they already pop, which means you do not need bright colors to draw attention to your eyes.

According to Allure, there are several colors that make your green eyes pop. Whether you want a soft eye shadow or a glittery eye shadow, you can make your eyes the envy of all your friends.

Taupe eye shadow is perfect for those with warm skin undertones. When choosing a neutral shadow color, make sure that it does not overpower the green of your eyes.

Purples are also great colors for green. This color is especially good if you have cool undertones.

Silvers are great to give green eyes a smoky, ethereal look.Learn how to do a smoky look with this video:

Believe it or not, green eye shadows in the sage family can enhance. Sage is a combination of green, silver and taupe and can really enhance your eyes.
