This is a question that a lot of people wonder about, and it's hard to answer without making it something that has an opinion in it. That being said, I'm going to give you my opinion on what the point of life is, without anything religious.
My meaning of life is to do well and to help others do well. I want to have a book dedicated to me, or to alter someone's life for the better by being the best person I can be. I believe that the energy you put out, is the energy that you get back from other people. If I can remain as positive as possible and help others to do the same, I will have lived a full and good life that makes me someone to be remembered.
I don't think that material goods are a good reason to be nice to others, or think that I should collect as much money as possible. I believe that by having a strong set of morals, and by being content with what is going on in the now, I am living my life the way I was supposed to. There are always going to be negative and positive things that happen to everyone, and the meaning to my life is to set a good example in how I deal with everything that comes to me.
There are so many opinions on this that I will just link you to a couple of sites where people are discussing this question. Hopefully you can find your meaning, though some people have to take their time to really get to know what they want life to be like.
