Bacon cheeseburgers.

The buns provide carbohydrates, the meat provides badly needed protein, and there's always a few veggies in between. It's a super-health food, right?

No, it's really not. But if I have to eat the same thing the rest of my life, I'll wind up dead from nutritional deficiencies as it is, so I might as well go for something I love eating a lot anyway.

I suppose if I wanted to try and cheat the nutritional deficiency thing, I could go for Total or some other vitamin-fortified cereal with almond milk fortified with vitamins D and B12, but I'm honestly not sure a life with just that as diet would be worth living a long time anyway.

So, bacon for the win.

Ah, this is a hard one.

I'll admit, the first thing that came to mind was macaroni and cheese. And not the homemade kind, either. The Kraft boxed kind that I grew up on.

I've always been slightly obsessed with that yellow stuff. Did you know that it originally sold for just 19 cents? [1] During World World II, Kraft sold 50 million boxes of their product.

However, I think I'll be a little healthier than that. I found a strawberry banana smoothie recipe online that my kids and I love. It has bananas and strawberries (obviously), yogurt, and orange juice. I'm not sure if that is cheating, though, because it's technically four foods rolled into one?

The recipe can be found here: http://www.rachaelray.com/2014/05/super-simple-kid-friendly-smoothies (we omit the honey).

I would have to say potatoes. You can prepare it hundreds of ways using just simple seasonings and different cooking methods including  baking it, mashing it, deep-frying it, pan-frying it, roasting, etc. There are many varieties of potatoes. Combined with the ways that I can prepare them, I can have interesting dishes even though I only have one food. [1] [2]

Potatoes are also quite healthy if prepared the right way. It has B vitamins, potassium, and a lot of people don't know that it is a good source of vitamin C.[3] Potatoes are quite versatile[4] and they are cheap.

I'd have to say oatmeal, as long as I can add some fruit to it. I eat oatmeal almost every day and I really like it. I don't know how healthy I would be eating nothing but oatmeal, but it would certainly be better for me than a lot of other choices.

Oatmeal is pretty high in fiber and has a number of important nutrients in it, like iron, calcium, and vitamin A. Add some milk to it and have a glass of orange juice on the side, and you have a complete meal!

Well, it better never come to this, but I'm going to say pizza. And, I would have any kind of pizza I want. That way, I can top my pizza with all kinds of other food! Pepperoni pizza, steak pizza, pizza with croissants on top - I may even throw mac and cheese, bacon cheeseburgers and those tasty potato dishes others posted on top of my pizza so I can have them too. The sky really is the limit. [1] Can you say LOOPHOLE!? That's it! I'll call it Loophole pizza!

Seriously though, I rarely eat good stuff like this anymore. But if you tell me I can't have it, that's probably what I'd do. It's fun to think about, anyway!
