The largest rainforest in the world is the Amazon Rainforest. It spreads over an astonishing 1.7 billion acres and runs through the South American countries Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela, French Guiana, Suriname, and Guyana. The Amazon covers most of the basin of the Amazon River.

The second largest rainforest is the Bosawas Biosphere Reserve. It is located in Nicaragua and is 2 million hectares in size. Coming in third is the Daintree Rainforest in Queensland, Australia. It is 460 miles in size. [2]
